Erika, Megan and Sawyers' wet and windy vacation shoot in Coumeenoole Beach, Dingle
Erika and Megan from Oregon, United States were well used to the wind and the rain so the misty day we had for our photoshoot in Sea Head didn't phase them at all. If truth be told they embraced it with matching rain jackets and the cutest little bubba of all time, Sawyer.
We started our photo shoot in Coumeenoole Beach, which features in movies such as Ryans' Daughter and The Field, both of which, I'm ashamed to admit, I have not seen. But they're on the list I promise. Coumeenoole Beach, is one of the few places in Ireland which has changed very little with time and you can really see how precious and hard life would have been on this Peninsula especially when you have wild Atlantic waves pounding so ferociously. Thankfully the tide was out and we were able to wander in amongst the caves and giant rock faces to get unique shots of Sawyer's first trip to Ireland. The poor weather meant we also had the beach pretty much to ourselves.
I could see the clouds rolling in from the west, bottom heaven with rain and at this point I suggested we take Sawyer for a little pint! To warm up and get in out of the rain. We went to the world famous Dick Mack's Pub in Dingle - https://www.dickmackspub.com/
Dick Mack's has been in operation since 1899 and uniquely has a leather shop in doors too! So you can get a pint and a belt at the same time, which I find far too marvellous. Anyways Sawyer had a taste for the pints and even managed to pull her own!
A great vacation photoshoot was had, on a rainy spring day down on Slea head.
Lots of Love

Here's why you should choose Coumeenoole Beach for your vacation photoshoot in Ireland
Here's why The Gap of Dunloe stands out as the ultimate destination for capturing stunning vacation memories:
Alright lads, let's talk about one of the most breathtaking spots in the Emerald Isle - Coumeenoole Beach, Dunquin Pier and Slea Head. This place is an absolute goldmine for anyone who wants a true Irish backdrop in their photos and it has it all, in abundance.
Towering cliff drives, ancient ruins, fluffy sheep wandering about, and the wild Atlantic Ocean crashing against the rocks. It's a landscape that's both melancholy, majestic and awe-inspiring, providing endless opportunities for stunning photographs of your vacation in Ireland.
Whether you fancy a moody shot of the pier itself, or you want to capture the pure beauty of Coumeenoole Beach or the iconic Ryans Daughter schoolhouse, this place has it all for a couples shoot. The rolling hills, the blanket islands, the wild Atlantic Way - it's a photographer's dream come true. But, and there's always a but, there are exposed cliff edges and it can get very busy during the summer months especially in good weather! It's always advisable to have a wet weather back up plan (Like the Pub like Dick Macs) and if you're scared of heights then there are other amazing places we can do such as Conor Pass or Anascaul Lake.
So if you're planning a trip to Ireland and you want to come back with some seriously envy-inducing snaps with your family, you'd be mad not to add Dunquin Pier and Slea Head and a vacation shoot with Sarah Kate Photography to your itinerary. Trust me, your Instagram is about to get a serious glow-up.
