Capturing Niamh & Denis's Perfect Moments with the Best Tipperary Wedding Photographer
Ever the history nerd, I recently had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Niamh and Denis in the stunning Holycross Abbey, Co. Tipperary, which is an absolute gem of a location for a wedding in Tipperary.
The historic backdrop of Holycross Abbey made for some really incredible photo opportunities, and I loved being able to capture all the little moments that made the day so special. Holycross Abbey has been a site of veneration and pilgrimage for 8 centuries and I was lucky enough to have my own pilgrimage there recently.
As Church weddings go, this has to be up there with the best churches in Ireland to get married. Not only is it really old, but it's got stunning high whitewashed vaulted ceilings, the chancel is possibly the finest piece of fifteenth-century architecture in the country and an outdoor cloister which is epic for couple and family formal portraits.
After the ceremony, we headed off to the Vienna Woods in Cork for the reception, which was just as amazing. The recently renovated venue was gorgeous, and it provided a really great backdrop for some more photos of the newlyweds and their guests. All in all, it was an awesome day and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it.
As a Tipperary wedding photographer, I always feel so honoured to be able to capture such important and special moments for people. Being able to work in such incredible locations like Holycross Abbey and the Vienna Woods just makes the experience even better, especially given how much Holycross means to bride Niamh,
And as one of the many Cork wedding photographers out there, I love seeing how different couples utilise the beauty of the Cork region to make their wedding day truly one of a kind, spoken like a true Cork woman haha!
