Dana & Germ’s Magical Elopement in Dingle

When Dana and Jeremy ("Germ," as his friends affectionately call him) decided to elope, they knew they wanted an intimate, picturesque setting, what they hadn't banked on was all their friends and family tagging along for the ride. The rugged beauty of Slea head in Dingle, Ireland, provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, even if we were frozen to the bones. Dana has Irish heritage, and so much so, I fully expected her brother to have an Irish accent, he had a big Irish head up on him (the way we all do)

A unique love story

“Dana and Germ's love story began in California, where a spontaneous camping trip sealed their connection. Four years later, Germ proposed in the most Jeremy way possible: with a zip tie, symbolizing his quirky, thoughtful nature. Their relationship thrives on adventure, understanding, and humor—all of which were evident throughout their elopement.”

The Big Day - An intimate elopement on Coolemole Beach elopement

Dana and Jeremy got ready separately at a cozy Airbnb, heightening the anticipation for their first look during the ceremony. They had a wild night out in Dingle the night before so some fresh air from the Atlantic sea is just what the doctor ordered. The location for the elopement was Coumeenoole Beach, which I would hazard a guess is one of the

best beaches in Kerry, we timed the elopement to make the best use of the tide.

Dana wore a Jenny Yoo gown that perfectly complemented her sense of style and the windswept beauty of Slea Head, while Jeremy donned a classic black suit that he picked with Dana’s input to ensure he looked super dapper.

The ceremony, officiated by their close friends Evan and Sophie, was heartfelt and personal, I thought Evan was going to cry at one point, it was so sweet. With just 13 guests in attendance, the intimate gathering allowed every moment to feel deeply connected and meaningful. From handwritten vows to the gentle sea breeze carrying their promises into the horizon, it was a ceremony no one would forget.

Thanks be to God someone remembered the whiskey as we all needed a shot of it

We made our way back into Dingle Town where we stopped for a quiet pint by a turf fire in  Foxy John’s, a unique pub where you can buy a hammer along side your pints.
