A '4 seasons in one day' Irish Wedding:
Tricia & Gearóid’s Special Day at Gougane Barra & Dromquinna Manor
I have to say, if it's been your dream to have an Irish wedding somewhere epic, where mist rolls over green hills, bleating sheep, and the scent of fresh rain (Yes, I am that nauseatingly romantic) then Tricia and Gearóid’s wedding is your ultimate wedding inspiration in Ireland.
Their day started in their respective home towns of Bantry and Schull, and then onto Gougane Barra, one of Ireland’s most breathtakingly romantic locations for their Catholic ceremony. Gougane Barra is famous for bring a tiny, storybook Catholic church sitting on the edge of a lake, surrounded by the Shehy mountains and trees. Tricia and Gearóid, childhood sweetheart's, who now reside in Perth, Australia, exchanged vows in this magical place, where Tricia's parents had exchanged vows some 35 years before, so it was extra special moment for all involved and brought back wonderful memories of Tricia's parents wedding.
It wasn't all plain sailing
While we might have had a small issue with the car getting stuck in the grass,
you couldn't tell from the photos as the whole day was a laugh.
Then, it was off to Dromquinna Manor, in Kenmare for the wedding reception, one of the most exclusive and luxury wedding venues in Ireland. Where roaring fires, candlelit tables, and that perfect mix of old-world charm and modern luxury on a changeable March day. In fact we were Dromquinna's first wedding of the season so it was nice way to round off the day,
I hope my photos capture everything, cute giggles, windswept beauty, and a whole lot of love. From stolen kisses by the water’s edge to laughter-filled speeches, hugs with dad and every moment feels effortlessly joyful.
If you're planning your own Irish wedding (or just love a good love story), this one is a must-see.
