What is Lifestyle Newborn Photography And how would it work for you?
- It takes place in your home, no need to move, figure out the dreaded car seat and put the buggy in the boot. I come to you. Simple as.
- The session focuses on a baby led experience. Your baby dictates the session, if they want to remain in mum or dads arms for the time, that’s what we do. It’s all about the connection between a baby and their family.
- It doesn’t take 3 or 4 hours to get the shots. I allow up to 2 hours for a session but 99% of the time, I am in and out within an hour & 30 minutes. Leaving you to get on with your day.
- It is not entirely documentary. While I document moments that happen naturally, I will move you and move items to clean the scene somewhat and give prompts which lead to candid moments.
- I will utilise the light in your home to get the best shots, so this might be your living room, kitchen, nursery or bedroom.
- You capture your baby just as they are, in their first home.
- There is no panic to have the shoot done within the first 10 days. With Covid restrictions we work around whats best for you and your family.
- You feature in your baby’s photographs. Probably the most important of all and the one I feel most strongly about. Your baby wants to see you when they are older in their printed memories.

My primary focus is for you to be comfortable.
Think casual & relaxed, bare feet or wooly socks.
If you are concerned about your post partum figure, lose clothing, long dresses or layers, such as cardigans, can hide loads.
My editing style is earthy, natural tones, think blues, greens, creams, browns, burgundy, mustard etc.

All images are delivered via an online gallery where you can preview and purchase additional digitals, slideshows, prints, frames, heirloom albums and much more.
It takes the hard work out of going getting them printed yourself and it also ensures you're getting a high end print service using fine art print papers, which are designed to last for generations.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT ONCE I'VE BOOKED A SESSION?
Once you have booked a session with me, we will plan the specifics. I will answer any questions you may have, as well as assist with location selection and anything else you might need.
Included in all sessions:
*Wardrobe/styling advice
*Access to an online gallery
WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?
I am based in Macroom and I travel within a 1 hour around Cork, West Cork, Killarney and Kenmare. For destinations outside of this, travel costs apply. I keep these to a minimum and I am upfront about them before booking.
WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos between 4 - 6 weeks (During peek season (summer months) it can be up to 12 weeks). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favourites, and also order prints! A sneak peek is also available 2-3 days post shoot.
HOW MANY PICTURES WILL WE RECEIVE
This will depend on the plan you choose. Additional photos from the session can be purchased directly from me. I always choose quality rather than quantity and I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Wear what feels good and makes you comfortable, if you're not comfortable in what you're wearing, you won't be able to relax and enjoy the session.
Upon booking to will send you a bespoke wardrobe guide which acts as a guide to help you plan your perfect pictures.
CAN WE GET PRINTS OR GET IMAGES FRAMED?
Yes, of course! You can print directly via your private gallery. I have chosen an artisan framer to provide beautifully handmade papers and frames to showcase your photography.
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP OUR IMAGES?
I have a strict no photoshop policy. I won't edit out wrinkles, lumps or bumps. I like to create heirloom imagery, designed to show your natural glow and beauty. I want to capture children in their purest form.

TERMS OF SERVICE
By booking my services, you understand that all photographic images remain the copyright of Sarah Kate Photography and cannot be reproduced, cropped or altered in any form. You agree to receive photos sorted and edited at the sole discretion of the photographer. All unedited files are the sole property of the photographer and will not be included in any final product received. All photos will be edited as seen fit by the photographer. Photos can be subject to online, advertising, marketing, and any other forms of media, press, and hard copy as the photographer sees fit, per the model release form that was signed by the client before session began. The client has full printing rights. The photographer is not responsible for printing issues. These need to be addressed with the printer. If the client is to publish any photos taken by photographer in any media, professional or otherwise, credit is to be given to photographer. There are no refunds once photos are delivered via online gallery or disc. If refund must be issued before gallery is delivered, client will receive their refund MINUS the non refundable retainer that is specifically marked in the contract the client signed. Client agrees to not re edit photos or alter them in any way. Any re editing, or use online without credit to the photographer is prohibited.
HOW TO BOOK A SESSION?
