Timeless & Fun Loving Wedding Photography
A black and white portrait of a couple walking and laughing outside a grand stone mansion.

How do you know if I'm the right photographer for you?

Choosing a photographer you can enjoy your wedding day with is super important,  and you're probably wondering why?

Because you'll be spending most of your day with me (crazy thought right?)

It's important that we are a good fit, that you trust me and that we get on! Imagine the most important day of  life and not getting on with your photographer, I could think of nothing worse.

What type of person am I? Well, I'm here for a good time, not a hard time.

All I want to do, honestly, is have the craic.

Find the craic in other people, soak it up, and catch it on camera.

That’s the whole gig for me—nothing fancy, nothing complicated.

I don’t do stress or roaring, but pints?

I can certainly do pints, just not on your wedding day, could you imagine!

And just to forewarn you, I'm a die hard romantic with poorly timed jokes!

Let's chat and make your wedding day even more special with timeless photographs that reflect your unique style and love.

Ballyvolane House Wedding | Sarah Kate Photography

I. Secure your wedding date.

Let me know which package you wish to choose - All Inclusive, or Collection 1, 2 or 3?

Pay a retainer of €300 to secure your date!

I operate on a first-come-first-serve basis and get lots of lovely bubbly couples jousting for the same date (not  actual jousting, but I kinda wish they did) Anywho, only the lucky ones get me! So get booking bitches.

II. Take shit hot photos.

After booking you will receive a vendor guide, a what to expect guide and a how to take pain free family photos guide! Yup it's a lot of guides, but my aim is to make your day as stress free as possible.

I hate showing up at a wedding not knowing my couple, it's super important for me to have a relationship going into your big day. Which is why after booking and again before your wedding, we Zoom, and I am always happy to receive texts and Insta DM's.

Prior to your wedding we run through a custom made timeline of your day so we are both on the same page about what to expect.

Let me know if you plan anything fun or random like bubbles, confetti, first look, sparklers, a photo dash, smoke bombs or an after party entrance on a yacht (It has happened)!

III. Deliver memories.

I edited all my photos, one by one so it takes me between 8-10 weeks for your gallery to be delivered and up to 12 weeks in the silly season. I hand edit every gallery as they're special to me and I love reliving your day.

You will have access to your online gallery & slideshow for a year and you'll be able to download both high res and web res photos, not only that but you'll also be able to order your own frames and prints! Pretty neat hey?

I'm pretty simple really, I'm not a stress head, I like having craic and talking absolute shite with your guests and having a littler boogie no the dance floor.

Everything about the excitement and buzz off a wedding day, it's hard to put into words. I JUST LOVE IT.

About my clients

My Couples? They’re fun, outgoing, vibrant souls. They’re adventurous, too, the type who’ll book a last-minute flight to Lisbon because there's some obscure festival on, or spend a weekend hiking in the rain just to feel alive.

They’ve got this magnetic energy, you know?

The kind that makes you feel like the world is a bit brighter just because they’re in it.

Family and friends? They’re everything to them. They’re the ones who’ll drop everything to be there for a loved one, who’ll host Christmas dinner even if their flat is the size of a shoebox, and who’ll remember your favourite biscuit just because. They’re the first to kick off their shoes and dance barefoot in the kitchen or spend hours laughing with their nieces and nephews over something completely ridiculous.

But here’s the thing—what they really care about, more than anything, is realness. They want the messy, beautiful, honest truth of life and love.

They want to laugh until their sides hurt, cry when it matters, and hold hands under the table at a crowded restaurant. They’re not interested in surface-level anything. They want depth, connection, and a love that feels like coming home. And honestly? They’re just the best.

Two people share a joyful moment with white flowers by a grey door.

What My Clients are saying

Sarah was a pleasure to share our wedding day with. The way she worked was the perfect balance of ‘there’ and ‘not there’, capturing all those beautiful candid moments yet giving us gently direction when needed. She is funny, encouraging and up for the craic. We are incredibly impressed with our sneak peak shots and so excited to see the full gallery! We love your work Sarah.

Kate & Aaron

Sarah Kate was an absolute gem to work with! Her personality and very caring demeanor made our day even more special than we could have dreamed. And that’s not to mention how absolutely phenomenal her photography is.

Brooke and Justin

We recently had the immense pleasure of working with Sarah for our wedding. A number of people in the bridal party are a bit nervous in front of the camera but Sarah’s enormous talent, professionalism and good sense of humour put everyone at ease.

From our sneak peek we can tell that we will have photos that we will cherish for a lifetime and for that we are forever grateful.

If you are not thinking about booking Sarah for your upcoming event then you are making a mistake

FAQ

I hate getting my photo taken?

You know what? So do I! If you trust me (which I hope you will) I will take photos which will make you proud of who you are & let your personality shine through! I give guidance on faltering poses.

I usually spend 20/30 minutes on couple photos! This can go quicker if you trust the process and trust me. If you have ideas about images you'd like to recreate, then share them with me, I'm happy to collaborate on ideas.

If you have an epic backdrop you'd like to shoot in, please let me know so we can work this into your timeline.

And before you ask, no I won't photoshop you to make you look skinner, the photo's will look fab!

What is your style?

I'm primarily a documentary photographer which means upstages moments are key to me

However I do love capturing family photos and nice couple portraits too!

I'm a big fan of leaving a moment unfold naturally and won't make you recreate moments on your big day.

I'm the right type of photographer for you if you value genuine humour and emotion in your imagery.

How do we book?

Once I have confirmed your date is available, I will send you a contract and then your date is fully secure with two things in place: a retainer of 300 euros and signed agreement.

I cannot hold dates without a retainer & I do get multiple enquiries about the same dates so I would always recommend booking sooner rather than later.

How many photos will we get?

Depending on the duration of coverage, for full day I usually take around 4000 images on your wedding day deliver around a 800 final images for a 11 hour day (prep to first dance). And up to 600 images for an 8 hour day.

All photographs come in website and high resolution, and can be downloaded without watermarks and enjoyed by family and friends alike.

How long before we get our wedding gallery?

Depending on the time of year it can vary between 10-12 weeks.

I edit all the images myself and while it's time consuming, I love reliving peoples days again and it brings back lot's of lovely memories and emotions! I have been known to cry while I edit, I do this because I want to go the extra mile for clients and don't outsource. It's a labour of love for me.

It's important for men to go the extra mile for my clients, which is why I take the time and effort to do it myself rather than outsource it.

What if it rains on my wedding day

Ideally we have a wet weather plan and it's something I ask all my clients to consider.

Consider where will family photos be taken if it's wet and cold?

Think about getting a clear umbrella so we can go out if it's a soft day!

Wild weather can make sure really dramatic wedding photos, so if you're up for an adventure, I am too.

Some couples opt for a Post Wedding shoot (which is getting a lot more popular). This allows you to put on your wedding attire again really enjoy your couple shoot without the time constraints or weather worries of a wedding day! Plus it gives you even more epic wedding photos.

How far do you travel?

I travel all over Munster for weddings,
such as counties Cork, Kerry, Limerick, & Tipperary, in venues such as Dromquinna Manor, Sheen Falls, Muckross Park Hotel, The Europe, Castlemartyr Resort, Adare Manor, Cloughjordan house, Inish beg, Ballyvolane house, Kilshane House, Cashel Palace etc

Additional fees apply for weddings outside of Munster.

Do you have a shot list?

I try to get all the standard photos of your day, family shots etc! If there are important people you want captured let me know, and also let your mum/bridemaids know so that we can keep on top of that!

Unfortunately I can't control non precipitation of people who don't wish to have their photo taken, nor can I photoshop someone in who isnt there!

Your day will go by so quickly and a lot of the imagery I take and am known for are candid natural moments.

Do you use flash or off camera flash?

I'm primarily a natural light photographer, it.s the most flattering & natural light and I advise this to clients ahead of any ceremony. This is the imagery you can see on my website ahead of booking.

I do use flash if a venue is very dark and dancing. I recommend where possible that couple and family portraits take place in natural light.

What if we run over time?

Ideally we don't, I like to keep weddings running smoothly and on time so no one is stressed. Which is why I workout a timeline with you ahead of your day and it's helpful to share this with your other vendors. Ideally you and your bridesmaids would be finished hair and makeup at least 1 hour before your due to leave for your ceremony (so you can get cute champagne shots & enjoy that time without rushing out the door)

For example, if your band are late and your first dance is after 10pm then additional time will be charged at €230 per hour. It is always worth consulting with your band/venue to ensure that first dance is at 9.30pm by the latest to avoid this.
