A Festive Celebration of Love in West Cork

Méabh and Séamus’s wedding at Dunmore House Hotel was a winter wonderland (Just without the all the wind, rain and snow ha) but it was filled with love, laughter, and Christmas cheer.

With its stunning coastal views and warm atmosphere, the venue was the perfect backdrop for a day that celebrated their love story, peoples past and brought together family, friends and a football team or two!

Morning Preparations: Laughter and Love

The day began early with Méabh getting ready at her family home in Leap, surrounded by her lovely bridal party. Hair by Lisa Shkurta and makeup by Oksana Lobanova added the perfect touch of elegance to her bridal look. Her Suzanne Neville dress from Sharon Hoey in Dublin, paired with Harlo shoes from Bella Bleu, was a timeless and classic combination. It was easy tell the girls were great friends and had celebrated many weddings together as they helped each other get ready with ease and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when Méabh put on her guna.

Meanwhile, Séamus prepared with his groomsmen in his home he shares with Méabh, in Rosscarbery, donning a sharp suit from Red Church Cork. His brother and best man, John, ensured everything ran smoothly, with plenty of banter to calm pre-ceremony nerves, also helped by a few quick pints at Nolans.

A Heartfelt Ceremony in St. Fachtna’s Church

At 12:30 pm, the couple exchanged vows in St. Fachtna’s Church, Rosscarbery, surrounded by 250 of their closest family and friends. Fr. Finbarr Crowley officiated a beautiful and emotional ceremony, with music by Niamh Kirby, Julie O'Sullivan Nicholson and John Cullinane adding a touch of magic to the moment. Afterwards, the newlyweds greeted their guests in a warm coffee before family portraits were taken, capturing the joy of the day.

Coastal Elegance at Dunmore House Hotel

The celebrations continued at Dunmore House Hotel, where the festive décor and breathtaking views of the Atlantic set the scene for the reception. Méabh and Séamus stepped away briefly for stunning golden-hour couple portraits, where we were treated to an epic winter sunset.

Guests were treated to drinks and a delicious dinner served at 6:00 pm. Violini provided a soft musical background during the meal, leading up to heartfelt speeches from the father of the bride, Séamus, and his best man.

Dancing the Night Away

The Ian Hendrick Band got everyone on their feet after the cake-cutting ceremony, followed by a romantic first dance under sparkling lights. The evening ended with sparklers, adding a magical touch to this festive celebration.

Personal Touches That Made the Day

From Méabh’s niece Ava Lilly as an adorable part of the bridal party to the couple’s shared love of football, good food, music, and fun, every element of their wedding day reflected their personalities. Their priorities—keeping the day fun-filled and stress-free—shone through every moment.
