A beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony in Dingle

When it comes to tying the knot, you can't get much more picturesque than a Dingle wedding at the Dingle Skellig Hotel. As locations go, this place is an absolute cracker - not just for the majestic scenery (hello, Conor Pass and those mountain and sea views, we could even see Skellig Michael!), but for everything else too.

I arrived to see Peter, the Groom suitability chilled and we went to the bar to grab a drink before we randomly bumped into a group of nosy cows, you couldn't make this shite up. I ran upstairs to meet the bride and her beautiful mum and bridesmaids.

The staff at the Dingle Skellig are absolute legends, ready to do anything to make your big day perfect. And the venue itself is spot on - that enormous ballroom is ideal for a large party, while the dining area with its incredible views over Dingle Bay is the perfect spot to watch the sky change, the sun set, and the starry night roll in as you enjoy the wedding speeches, free-flowing drinks, and (of course) the mouth-watering food.

On the day, Peter had hoped the ceremony would take place on the hotel's lush lawns overlooking the water. I told Peter he was haunted with the weather and he didn't have a clue what I was talking about! Haunted in Cork means lucky haha and lucky for us we had a glorious day out. Dingle Druid gave a thoughtful and moving spiritual ceremony which included hand fasting. Eileen the bride made the gorgeous handfasting cords. From family photos on the lawn we then went to Conor Pass and Dick Macks for a pint.

Are you thinking of choosing Dingle Skellig for your wedding venue?

When it comes to tying the knot in the Emerald Isle, the Dingle Skellig Hotel is an absolute cracker of a venue. As locations go, you can't get better than Dingle Skellig hotel, not least for the scenery over the harbour, but also for everything else: from staff who are ready to do anything to make the day perfect, to the enormous ballroom, absolutely perfect for a large party, and the dining area with incredible views out over Dingle Bay where you can watch the sky change, the sun set and the starry night roll in as you enjoy the wedding speeches, free flowing drinks and, of course, the mouth-watering food.

The lawns of the hotel were where the grooms hoped the ceremony was to happen. Given the incredible summer Ireland had been having, the boys didn't believe the day's grey skies would last. I accompanied Peter and Eileen down for a quick pint in Dick Mack's pub as they went to buy some time for the sun to come out and to imbibe the luck of the Irish with a pint of the black stuff in the atmospheric snug.

If you're looking for a wedding venue that has it all - from breathtaking views of the Conor Pass and Dingle Bay, to an experienced team who will ensure your big day runs without a hitch - then look no further than the Dingle Skellig Hotel.
