Kevin & Féidhlim’s Same Sex Wedding at Fota Island Resort 🌈
Kevin and Féidhlim’s LGBTQ+ wedding at Fota Island Resort in Cork was nothing short of iconic bitches. Féidhlim, being a local legend, grew up just a stone’s throw away from me—an unexpected and lovely surprise, but then again, don't all legends hail from Cork? Handsome groom Kevin, however, hails from Canada, where the couple now resides. Blending their cultures in the Emerald Isle was the perfect way to celebrate their love and boy was I happy to help.
One of the highlights? Kevin and his family honoured his mom’s heritage with gorgeous Mehndi (henna) art applied to their hands before the big day—pure elegance. Meanwhile, Féidhlim’s crew brought the craic (as you do), making it a day bursting with laughter, love, and everything in between.

Instead of sticking to a cookie-cutter schedule, we built a custom timeline for Kevin and Féidhlim that was uniquely them. They got ready together—because why not continue a sweet tradition they both adore—and then headed to Fota House and Gardens for their couple photos.
Let me tell you, Fota House is a photographer’s paradise. The arboretum, Victorian Working Gardens, and those dreamy refurbished greenhouses? Chef’s kiss. It’s a blend of exotic charm and timeless elegance, perfect for jaw-dropping backdrops. We had OPW approval secured well in advance (always plan ahead, babes!) and took a leisurely stroll through the gardens, snapping photos that screamed romance and authenticity.

After our photo adventure, we made our way back to the luxury haven that is Fota Island Resort. Before the guests even arrived, we knocked out all the family photos (team efficiency, thank you very much). Then it was time for their same-sex ceremony, officiated by the ever-witty Caroline from Your Celebrant Ireland.
When I say I ugly-cried, I mean full Kim K sob. Before, during, and after the ceremony, I was a wreck (in the best way). It was one of those days that reminded everyone in the room why love and family are the greatest gifts we have in this universe.
